page visibility and privacy
publishing, hiding numbers, and staying out of search engines.
all of this is in settings.
publishing
your page is published from the day you sign up. unpublishing it makes it visible to you and nobody else, which is what to do while you are rebuilding it or if you just want it gone for a while. it also takes you out of discover and the leaderboard until you publish again.
what your page gives away
- your uid, the number showing how early you joined, can be hidden.
- your view count can be hidden while still being counted for you in analytics.
- your aliases can be shown or kept private.
search engines
a published page can still ask search engines not to index it. that is a separate switch, so you can have a page that works for anyone with the link without it turning up in results.
none of these make a page secret. anyone with the link can open a published page, and anything you put on it is public. treat it like a public profile, because it is one.
still stuck? ask in the discord, someone will know.
