effects
cursors, particles, retro screens, animations and a pixel cat.
everything in appearance, effects. each one is off by default. the honest advice is to pick one or two, because a page with all of them on is a page nobody reads.
cursor
- style: the normal pointer, a dot, a ring, or an image you upload.
- trail: fading dots following the pointer, in your cursor color.
- spotlight: a soft glow that follows the pointer across the page.
ambient
- particles: stars, snow, rain, dust or shapes drifting behind your page, with a density slider.
- grain: static noise over everything, from barely there to heavy.
- scanlines, crt and vhs: old screen effects, layered over the page.
- parallax: the background shifts opposite the pointer as it moves.
- oneko: a pixel cat that chases your visitors' cursor around.
avatar and motion
- avatar ring: an accent ring around your picture, with width and opacity.
- glow: a soft light behind the avatar.
- avatar animation: pulse, bounce or float. tilt makes it follow the pointer in 3d.
- card tilt: the same 3d tilt for the whole card.
- entrance animation: how your page reveals itself, one element after the next. fade, blur, zoom, or a slide up, down, left or right.
- widget animation: how widget cards arrive, including a scaffold that draws them in.
name effects
your display name can be plain, a gradient, a rainbow, glowing, shimmering or glitching. gradient and glow use your accent color, so they stay in your palette.
reduce motion
one toggle that turns the heavy animation off for everyone. visitors whose own device asks for reduced motion are respected regardless of what you set here.
still stuck? ask in the discord, someone will know.
