appearance

colors and contrast

accent, text, card and icon colors, and keeping them readable.

four colors carry most of the page, and they are in appearance, colors and layout.

colorwhere it shows
accentlinks, buttons, the scrollbar, the ring around your avatar.
texteverything you read.
card and buttonthe fill behind your card and your link buttons.
iconsyour social icons and link icons, set apart from text so they can be dimmer.

two smaller ones sit near them: the cursor color, and the color text highlights in when someone selects it.

swap box colors

this flips which color fills a box and which one accents it. it is one toggle, and it is the fastest way to find out whether your palette wants to be bold or quiet.

adaptive contrast

premium. it watches what ends up behind your text, counting your card, your overlay and your background together, and nudges your text and icon colors lighter or darker only when they would be hard to read. your own colors are kept whenever they already work.

nothing is written back to your theme, so turning it off puts your exact colors back. it also stands down when a photo takes up most of what is behind the text, since a photo can be light in one corner and dark in the other.

want a color the picker cannot make, like a card that is forty percent see-through or an accent that is a gradient? that is css variables.

still stuck? ask in the discord, someone will know.
